A brief History

1985

The Fareham Council of Community Service was established as the primary provider of support to the local voluntary and community sector.

1996

The Service was incorporated and changed its name to Community Action Fareham. 

Today

Community Action Fareham:

  • has a database of 570 organisations
  • has over 150 members
  • provides support to groups through a variety of channels
  • is a member of The National Association for Voluntary and Community Action.

National Association for Voluntary and Community Action

Community Action Fareham is one of 350 Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) in the UK. The national umbrella body is the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA), which sets recommended standards for local CVS's to use for their service framework.
